Is your water test really free?
Yes. Our in-home water test is free and checks things like hardness, iron, pH and total dissolved solids at your kitchen sink, with a handwritten copy of your results. For contaminants that need a certified lab — like bacteria, arsenic, nitrate and lead — we collect the samples as an MDE certified water sampler.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Queenstown and serve Queen Anne's, Talbot, Kent, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico and Anne Arundel counties — including Kent Island, Centreville, Chestertown, Easton, St. Michaels, Denton, Cambridge, Salisbury, Annapolis, Severna Park and Edgewater.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Lifewell is licensed and insured, led by Maryland Master Plumber Tyler Gilmore (License #102054), and holds Maryland Department of the Environment Certified Water Sampler #2907-99-028.
Do you work on town and city water, or just wells?
Both. For well water we handle everything from iron and sulfur to bacteria and arsenic. For town water in places like Annapolis, Easton and Centreville, we most often install chlorine filtration, softeners and reverse osmosis for drinking water.
Do I need a well water test to sell my house in Maryland?
In most cases, yes. Since October 1, 2024, Maryland requires well water testing as a condition of most home sales with a private well, and both buyer and seller must review the results before settlement. Results stay valid for three years, and a buyer can waive testing only in writing.
